Turns out my idiot landlords didn't call before digging and placing french drains (which we needed) and severed phone, internet and tv cables to the whole complex and did nothing about it. I temporarily have internet at home (but the cable for it is lying in the grass waiting for a lawnmower to find it). Wow it's been nearly a month since I've been gone.
